SeaWorld San Diego Celebrates Penguin Awareness Day During 'Inside Look' Event
SeaWorld has nearly 300 penguins representing six Antarctic and sub-Antarctic species at Penguin Encounter.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Jan. 20 marks Penguin Awareness Day, and SeaWorld San Diego is celebrating all weekend long.
From Saturday through Monday, park-goers can enjoy special penguin-themed offerings, discounts and the chance to connect with penguin care experts during the theme park's Inside Look event.
SeaWorld has nearly 300 penguins representing six Antarctic and sub-Antarctic species at Penguin Encounter, according to the theme park. During Inside Look's penguin keeper talks, visitors will learn about their unique traits and social dynamics, as well as the park's conservation efforts.

In addition to keeper talks, SeaWorld will offer a variety of other experiences throughout the weekend to celebrate Penguin Awareness Day, including:
- Up-close Magellanic penguin appearances
- 20% off all apparel at Penguin Encounter for all guests. Pass members receive an additional discount. Only valid for regularly priced items.
- Photo opportunities with Puck the Penguin costumed character
- Educational penguin artifacts to view
- $5 Happy Hour specials at Wild Arctic Bar, featuring Emperor Hazy IPA on draft and Arctic Lemonade
