  1. Do you know him? The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department needs your help to identify this sexual assault suspect. He is wanted in connection with an assault that took place on July 26 near Prospect Street. Perhaps you recognize his clothing, or the way he walks. Check out the video and see if you can help. 2. Road closures for repairs are a necessary evil, and there are plenty of repairs scheduled in Mission Valley during the month of August. The I-8 will close Tuesday through Thursday evening. Freeway connectors, on-ramps, and off-ramps on the I-8 from the I-5 to state Route 163, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. will be closed Tuesday - Thursday. Rumble strips will be installed to extend the life of the concrete pavement. Striping will also be redrawn. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (NBC San Diego)
  3. No, you are not imagining it. Those loud booms can be heard this week throughout northern San Diego County. The U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton is setting off high explosives. They are conducting 24/7 field artillery exercises. The sound can travel as far as 50 miles away. "When the air is more humid, it is less dense (more buoyant), so sound would travel faster and farther," said Sheena Parveen NBC San Diego meteorologist.
