- A data breach at Sharp HealthCare compromised the privacy of certain patient information, such as names, ID/invoice numbers, payments and entities receiving payments. No bank account, credit/payment card information, Social Security numbers, contact information, health insurance information, dates of birth, clinical information, etc. were revealed. Sharp has since updated its online security. For more information, click here. (ABC 10 News San Diego)
- While not stuck inside the broken elevator, these Lemon Grove seniors feel trapped, nonetheless. Since Jan. 28, they have been stuck in their apartments, unable to go to doctor appointments, to go shopping or to get some fresh air. Many use wheelchairs and walkers and cannot manage the stairs. Residents complain that the situation has gone on too long. Code enforcement was alerted concerning the situation. (CBS News 8)
- 📢Calling all Amtrak passengers: Amtrak trains are now running again on weekends between San Diego and Orange County. Since October, damage to the tracks running along coastal San Clemente resulted in limited service. Weekday services are still suspended due to repair work, which is ongoing. Passengers may continue to use bus service until full train service is restored. Freight services have continued in a limited capacity. (KPBS)
