Slime Kitchen Opening Second Location In San Diego County

CHULA VISTA, CA — Slime Kitchen is expanding its kid-friendly, hands-on slime experience in San Diego County.

The company, which specializes in crafting high-quality, non-toxic slimes that spark imagination, is opening a new location in Chula Vista. The new store opening comes after Slime Kitchen made its San Diego debut in July in the Mission Valley Mall.

"The response from families in San Diego has been incredible," said Kathy Ando, founder of Slime Kitchen. "This city is full of creatives and dreamers who have embraced Slime Kitchen from the start, and we are beyond excited to open a second location and continue to grow alongside a community that shares our love for exploration and connection."

Slime Kitchen gives kids — and kids at heart — the chance to be a chef, chemist and creator all at once, according to the company. Each visit takes slime makers on an immersive journey as they select a base, blend scents, add color, and layer textures to create custom slimes.

The new Chula Vista location marks the San Francisco-headquartered company's second San Diego area and eighth California store.

"While we were setting up the store, I couldn't believe how lively Otay Ranch was," Ando said. "The energy here is just amazing, and I can't wait for our new location to be part of it."

To celebrate the new location, Slime Kitchen Chula Vista will host a grand opening at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22. The first 50 attendees will receive a slimy surprise.

Slime Kitchen Chula Vista is located in the Otay Ranch Town Center at 2015 Birch Road in Chula Vista.
