Small Plane Lands On 805 Freeway In San Diego
The plane landed on the southbound 805 Freeway at Carroll Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A small plane landed on the Jacob Dekema (805) Freeway in San Diego Saturday and all of its occupants got out safely.
The plane landed at 5:38 p.m. Saturday on the southbound 805 Freeway at Carroll Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness told the CHP the white Cessna-like plane landed "facing sideways up against the center divider wall, blocking the center divider and the No. 1 lane."

All southbound lanes were initially shut down and traffic was taken off at Sorrento Valley Road, the CHP stated.
At about 6:50 p.m., all but the HOV and No. 1 lanes were reopened, the CHP reported. The remaining lanes were reopened at about 9 p.m.
