  1. Whether you are there for a concert, or just to see the architecture, you will be amazed by this lovely new venue. This gem is the Rady Shell located at Jacobs Park. It is the city’s newest performance venue on the water. A concert hall under a canopy, it looks like a shell nestled next to San Diego Bay. Monitors that bracket the stage broadcast the concerts across the audience. The shows are spectacular. With dining tables available and food options from snacks to full dinner with wine, it is a charming location to dine. Better wear a hat, and your sunglasses, as the location is on the waterfront. Visit it soon! (Los Angeles Times)
  2. It's difficult to maneuver when you are in a wheelchair, or when you are walking with a baby carriage. Now, there is a place where everyone can take a quarter-mile tour through a botanical treasure. At Charles Lewis III Memorial Park, Park Ranger Herrera will take you on an exciting botanical journey accessible by wheelchair and stroller. Just bring water and sunscreen. Allow ample time to find parking. Meet near the playground. Leashed, friendly dogs are also welcome. (San Diego Reader)
  3. It’s that spooky time of year. Haunted houses trick-or-treat venues, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, Dia de los Muertos events, and more have popped up around San Diego County. Enjoy fall traditions, wear a costume, get a pumpkin, take a hayride, sip some cider. This year there are events taking place all over the county. Take a look. (San Diego Patch)
