Super Tuesday: How To Work Polls In San Diego
Don't just participate in democracy this Super Tuesday; facilitate it. Poll worker applications are being accepted now.
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — San Diego County is looking for poll workers to work the March 3 primary election, and is accepting applications.
Poll workers will make between $75 and $150 for the day, with a $15 additional stipend to poll workers fluent in English and are assigned to assist people in speaking:
- Arabic
- Chinese
- Filipino
- Korean
- Spanish
- Vietnamese

Here are the requirements, as obtained from the San Diego Vote website:
- Be a United States citizen and registered to vote in California or a legal permanent resident with a Social Security number
- Be at least 18 years old
- Speak, read and write English
- Complete the required online and in-person training
- Be willing to work from 5:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Election Day
- Assist the poll set-up the evening before Election Day
- Have transportation to and from your assigned polling place
