Taxman Is Knocking Across San Diego County
The first installment of property taxes becomes delinquent if not paid by Dec. 10.

SAN DIEGO, CA — It's that time of year in San Diego County — and we're not talking about the holiday season.
Instead, property owners are reminded that the first installment of property taxes becomes delinquent if not paid by Dec. 10, and the second installment becomes delinquent if not paid by April 10, 2026.
"I urge homeowners to go to sdttc.com and pay online — it's the easiest, quickest, and most secure way to pay," San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector Larry Cohen said in a statement. "About 80% of our payers pay electronically, saving themselves a trip to the branch or mailbox. All 975,199 secured tax bills are available now at sdttc.com to view and pay."

Property tax payments are expected to generate more than $9 billion for the region, according to the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office.
Property taxes can be paid online, by phone, by mail and in person. Property owners can find their tax bill information online or call the Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office at 877-829-4732.
