Teen Arrested In Deadly San Diego Shooting
He was booked into San Diego Juvenile Hall on suspicion of murder.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A teenager was arrested in connection with a deadly shooting earlier this week in the City Heights community of San Diego, authorities said Friday.
A witness reported hearing a gunshot shortly before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 4600 block of Olive Street in the Swan Canyon neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department. The witness looked outside and saw a man down in the street and another man standing nearby who was wearing all black.
Officers found the victim on the ground between two parked vehicles, police said. He was identified as 73-year-old Diosado Gumbayan, a resident of San Diego.

Prior to the arrival of police, the suspect fled southbound on foot in an alley off 46th Street. Officers searched the nearby canyon and surrounding streets for the suspect but were unable to find him.
Investigators later identified a 17-year-old as the suspect. He was arrested Thursday near Euclid Avenue and El Cajon Boulevard, police said. He was booked into San Diego Juvenile Hall on suspicion of murder.
