Here are three of the top stories in San Diego today:

  1. San Diego Police and the DEA Narcotics Task Force had been tracking the eighteen-year-old gun and drug trafficker for months. Two homes, one in the East Village and the other in La Mesa, were raided, and a loaded 20-round magazine, a high-capacity rifle, a ghost gun with a high-capacity detachable magazine, drugs, and $50,000 in cash were confiscated. The teen was booked into San Diego Central Jail and is being held on $100,000 bail. He will be arraigned on Monday. (NBC San Diego)
  2. San Diego firefighters and police officers are not happy at their jobs. The Employee Sentiment Workforce Report showed that morale among city workers is way down. A cause for the dissatisfaction stems from staffing shortages, high attrition rates, low pay, and too much overtime. "Department directors should work with branch leadership to determine lessons from highly satisfied departments and identify possible strategies to apply to less satisfied departments," reads the report. (CBS News 8)
  3. Looking for something special to do for date night? Need a cozy venue and a romantic vibe to enhance the mood? Here are some suggestions for you to check out for yourself. With a woodsy atmosphere, Campfire offers seasonally driven dinners in an intimate setting. Wormwood is an absinthe bar offering dinners in a Parisian-style atmosphere. Want to learn more?
