Teenager Shot Following Park Altercation In National City
The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.
NATIONAL CITY, CA — A 17-year-old boy was in critical condition Saturday after he was shot following an altercation at a park in National City, authorities said.
Officers were sent to Kimball Park just before 8:30 p.m. Friday following a report of shots fired, according to the National City Police Department. They discovered that following an altercation between a group of young males, a 17-year-old boy was shot.
The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition, NCPD Detective Sgt. Mark Segal said.
