Tickets On Sale Now For Dance Show 'Beyond Babel'

SAN DIEGO, CA -- Tickets for a new immersive dance show, staring two Carlsbad residents, will be available for sale starting Monday. "Beyond Babel," which stars Keone and Mari Madrid, tells the story of two people who find love despite rising tensions in the community.

The show, which will have its world premiere in downtown San Diego, is inspired by the classic story "Romeo and Juliet."

“Current social issues and conversations are a huge motivation to this story,” said Keone Madrid. “In the times that we’re in with social media, instant gratification and more, we noticed that people are starting to put more value and interest into experiences. Providing an unforgettable experience is such an important aspect to this project.”

To fully engage the audience, the production features a special immersive seating design: the orchestra sections move forwards and backwards laterally throughout the theater. Since the orchestra seat sections move, the audience experiences multiple perspectives of the performers and sets.

The show will open late September.
