Trash Truck Runs Over, Badly Hurts Man In Hillcrest
The resulting impact tore a large amount of skin off one of the man's feet and left him with several bone breaks, police said.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 41-year-old man suffered severe injuries Wednesday when a trash truck ran him over in a Hillcrest-area alley, authorities reported.
The man was lying in the access road off the 4000 block of Front Street when he extended his left leg into the path of the southbound waste- management vehicle shortly before 11:30 a.m., according to the San Diego Police Department.
The resulting impact tore a large amount of skin off one of the man's feet and left him with several bone breaks, including a compound ankle fracture, SDPD Officer David O'Brien said.

Though serious, the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, according to police.
