- Step up! Please. The San Diego Blood Bank has issued a call for donors of type🅾️negative and type🅾️positive blood. Right now, there is a critical need in San Diego. Type O negative is a universal blood type. Type Opositive is the most often used in emergencies. All types of blood are needed, but there is only a one-day supply type O blood. Donors age 17 or older, weighing at least 114 pounds and in good health are encouraged to donate. Schedule your appointment now. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. - What is the story with Lake Hodges Dam? Why is the water still gone from the Lake? Here is an update. Hodges Dam was in need of repairs, and the City initiated those repairs this year. However, city👨🔧workers assigned to the project later found additional defects. "Our top priority must be preserving the integrity and safety of the 104-year-old Hodges Dam and the surrounding communities," said Councilwoman Marni von Wilpert, who represents District 5 and the Hodges Reservoir area. "While I understand that this news is frustrating, public safety and dam integrity must not be compromised, and I thank the Public Utilities Department for their diligent work." The repair timeline has now been🗓️scheduled for 2023. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. (ABC 10 News San Diego KGTV)
- Their murals are spectacular! Perhaps you’ve seen their Tony Gwynn mural in City Heights, or the Jaguar mural off Interstate 5. Ground Floor Murals are on display throughout San Diego County. Now, a new mural will be displayed at the Chula Vista Animal🐱🐰🐶Care Facility. Paul Jimenez and Signe Ditona of Ground Floor Murals are animal lovers who wanted to give back to the community. So, they jumped at the chance to create a mural for the Chula Vista community. The project is expected to be completed by Saturday, Oct. 1. An unveiling event will be held the same day.
