Victims Of Fatal San Diego-Area Traffic Crashes Identified
Authorities released the names of two people who died last week in San Diego-area traffic accidents.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Authorities Monday released the names of two people who died last week in San Diego-area traffic accidents.
The first of the two fatal crashes took place about 11 p.m. Thursday, when the driver of a BMW sedan lost control of the car on westbound State Route 76 at Loretta Street in Oceanside, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
The vehicle struck a center-divider wall and overturned, ejecting a passenger, 22-year-old Xavior Meadows of Oceanside, the agency reported. Paramedics took Meadows to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, where he was pronounced dead.

The second deadly wreck occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. Friday on Country Club Road in Borrego Springs, according to the medical examiner. Cynthia Soller, 89, was driving to the south when her Subaru SUV veered off the roadway and struck a palm tree.
Medics airlifted Soller to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where she died about 12 hours later.
