1 Week Left To Avoid Penalties On Property Tax Bill In San Diego County
Property tax payments are expected to generate $9.1 billion for the region, which is a new record, according to the county.
SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego County residents have one week to pay the second installment of their property taxes.
Property owners have until April 10 to pay the second installment of their property taxes before they are considered delinquent and result in more charges, according to the San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office.
"If you haven't yet paid your property taxes, you have a week to do so to avoid penalties," San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister said. "To avoid the 10% penalty plus $10 fee we encourage property owners to go online and pay their second installment before the April 10th deadline."

The first property tax installment was due on Nov. 1, 2024. The second installment was due Feb. 1, and becomes delinquent after April 10.

Property owners can pay online using an e-check. Taxpayers will get an immediate, emailed receipt for payment confirmation if they use the online payment system at sdttc.com.
