Woman Found Dead Outside Her Vehicle In Rancho Bernardo Parking Lot
Police said the victim was lying next to her vehicle and bleeding from her head.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A woman was found dead outside of her vehicle in what police were investigating as a suspicious death.
Officers responded at 2:36 p.m. Monday to a report of an unresponsive woman on the ground in a parking lot in the 17300 block of West Bernardo Drive in San Diego's Rancho Bernardo neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Police said the victim was lying next to her vehicle and bleeding from her head. Officers and paramedics tried to save the woman but she died at the scene. Her name and age were not released.

"Based on the unexplained injuries, the death was determined to be suspicious, and the homicide unit was notified," police said.
Homicide detectives were interviewing witnesses and canvassing the area for security video.
