- They tried to shut down a fast-food restaurant in San Diego last week. Their goal was to raise awareness of the low pay and poor working conditions in the fast-food industry. - Good news, San Diego! The Port of San Diego has been named the best cruise port in the world. The Port has two cruise ship terminals and is located just a short distance from museums, restaurants, hotels, and other attractions. The Port expects to welcome 130 cruises next season. - Looking for fun events in San Diego this weekend? Go to a Juneteenth Festival in Logan Heights, or one in Oceanside, or another at the Old Globe in Balboa Park.
