​1 Dead, Suspect In Custody After San Francisco Shooting

A man was arrested Saturday after a fatal shooting in San Francisco's Bayview District, police said.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A man was arrested Saturday after a fatal shooting in San Francisco's Bayview District, police said.

San Francisco police officers responded around 3:58 p.m. on Saturday to the 100 block of Brookdale Avenue and found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound, police noted.

Despite officers performing CPR and paramedics arriving at the scene, the victim was pronounced dead, SFPD said.

Police identified and detained the suspect, 32-year-old Marvin Duran of San Francisco, at the scene without incident. A firearm was recovered.

Duran was arrested and booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of murder.
