1 Hurt In San Francisco House Fire
The blaze caused extensive damage to the structure.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — One person was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries Saturday after a fire in a two-story house in San Francisco's Excelsior District, firefighters said.
The blaze that started in the rear of 1101 Geneva Ave. and moved forward was reported about 5:25 p.m. and caused extensive damage to the structure. The fire also damaged the exterior of an adjoining residence, firefighters said.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area of Geneva westbound, between Madrid and Naples, while emergency vehicles were present.
