The seizure was the latest operation that is part of the city's Drug Market Agency Coordination Center, according to police. The program was launched in May 2023, aimed at dismantling drug markets in the Tenderloin and South of Market neighborhoods. Since May of last year, police have seized more than 425 pounds of narcotics, making over 3,000 related arrests in the targeted neighborhoods, they said.
