• Man Convicted In Fatal Shooting Of Toddler, Man In Bay Area: DA (patch.com) — San Francisco’s district attorney announced that Joseph Stevens has again been convicted of murdering a man and a two-year-old boy in a 2005 Bay Area shooting, after his earlier conviction was overturned. Jurors found him guilty of two counts of first-degree murder and related firearm charges for firing 18 shots into a vehicle, killing the man and toddler and wounding the child’s mother. The DA said she hopes the renewed verdict brings some justice and closure to the victims’ family.
