$175K Reward Offered In San Francisco Cold Case Shooting Death

The San Francisco Police Department has authorized a $175,000 reward for information about an unsolved homicide.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The San Francisco Police Department is offering a $175,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the shooting death of Delmond Carter in 2010, the SFPD announced Wednesday.

Carter, aka Blackbird, was shot and killed in San Francisco in the early morning hours of May 15, 2010, according to police. He was fixing a car in a parking lot on LaSalle and Ingalls Streets in the Bayview neighborhood when he was shot.

According to KTVU Fox 2, Carter “got into a verbal exchange with at least three people, teens or men in their early 20s,” who shot Carter repeatedly.

Carter, who was 32 when he was killed, worked as a tattoo artist and rapper. He left behind three children, KTVU reported.
