2-Alarm Fire Displaces 5 People

SAN FRANCISCO — A two-alarm fire in San Francisco's Noe Valley neighborhood displaced five people, including two children early Thursday morning, fire officials said.

Around 2:30 a.m., crews were dispatched to the 1300 block of Sanchez Street on reports of a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, they saw flames on the second floor of a three-story home.

As firefighters responded, a live electrical wire fell on the first arriving truck company so crews from PG&E had to de-energize the wire, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

The fire was contained shortly after 3 a.m. No injuries were reported among the displaced or the responding crews .

According to fire investigators, the cause of the blaze was accidental or electrical.
