SOLEDAD, CA — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.3 struck 11.8 miles northeast of Soledad at 7:42 p.m. Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake was measured at a depth of about 3.1 miles.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, people typically report feeling earthquakes larger than about magnitude 2.5.
