SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect mostly clear and sunny skies with warm conditions Monday in the San Francisco Bay Area, according to the National Weather Service.
"Warmer and drier conditions through midweek, with moderate offshore wind expected through Tuesday in the higher elevations," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Sunday. "Unsettled weather returns late in the upcoming week."

In other news, one man and six boys were arrested after a smash-and-grab burglary at a Bay Area mall and pursuit; a carjacking and stabbing suspect was arrested after a manhunt prompted school lockdowns; a man was stabbed when a fight broke out at a Bay Area bar and restaurant; and the San Francisco Bay Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations condemned a reported racist attack that police are investigating as a hate crime.
Plus, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that President Donald Trump was deploying 300 California National Guard personnel to Portland after a judge blocked the mobilization of Oregon's own guard troops.
