72-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies In Russian Hill Neighborhood Crash

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A 72-year-old man was struck and killed Tuesday morning in San Francisco's Russian Hill neighborhood after a motorist backing up a vehicle hit him, police said.

The collision was reported at 10:46 a.m. at Mason Street and Broadway, according to the San Francisco Police Department. Investigators said the driver was traveling north on Mason Street and had just made a right turn onto Broadway. The driver reversed and hit a pedestrian who was crossing the street.

The victim died from his injuries and his name was not immediately available Wednesday morning.
