SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Twitter's 7,500 workers could be slashed down to just over 2,000 in the comping months, according to documents obtained by the Washington Post.

The change is likely to have a huge impact on the company's ability to prevent security breaches and harmful content, the newspaper reported.

Elon Musk, who has a bid on the social media giant, told prospective investors that he planned to cut nearly 75 percent of Twitter's workforce. The company is headquartered in San Francisco.
