BART Lines Back Up And Running Following Equipment Issues
The BART system experienced a computer equipment problem, bringing the system to a halt, transit officials said.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — BART services have resumed at all stations, but riders can still expect some delays, following a computer equipment issue on Friday morning, according to transit officials.
BART transit officials announced around 5 a.m. that services could not be started on Friday after a network upgrade led to a computer equipment issue.
Officials recommended public transportation riders take alternative routes, such as AC Transit or the Ferry, to get around the Bay Area.

San Francisco's Municipal Railway was also impacted, but only minimally, according to transit officials.
The issue had minor effects on Muni, but the transportation service was able to provide mutual aid transportation between Embarcadero and Balboa Park

SF Bay Ferry officials issued an advisory, warning they are expecting a surge in passengers and will be “preparing to offer additional surge capacity.”
Some services had returned to the East Bay stations as of 9:30 a.m., but stations in the West Bay and West Oakland were still shut down.
Transit officials announced just before noon that BART services had resumed at all stations.
"Expect delays on all lines as service is being established," BART officials said on X.
