Bogus Zillow Post Lists San Francisco Home From 'Full House' For $37M
A San Francisco home featured in the credits of the hit 1980s and '90s show "Full House" was fraudulently listed for sale on Zillow.

SAN FRANCISCO — A San Francisco home that makes a brief appearance in the credits of the hit 1980s and '90s sitcom "Full House" was fraudulently posted on Zillow for a cool $37 million, according to a report.
The four-bedroom, 3 1/2-bedroom home, located at 1709 Broderick St. in the city's Lower Pacific Heights neighborhood, was listed Tuesday as being for sale by owner, an archived image of the listing showed.
A Zillow spokesman told multiple media outlets in a statement that the listing was "fraudulently" updated and an "illegitimate" posting.

"Our teams use a number of different tools to prevent inappropriate content from publishing in the first place, but if a listing is found to be fraudulent after it's posted, our team takes steps to remove it," the spokesperson said. "In this case, we discovered a 'For Sale By Owner' listing was illegitimate after it was posted, and have since taken it down. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused."
The Tanner House last sold in October 2020 for $5.35 million. Zillow estimated the house was worth about $6.5 million.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the iconic 1880s Italian-Victorian home was sold by executive producer and show creator Jeff Franklin, who bought it in 2016 with plans to turn it into a replica of the TV show set.
“He had incredible intentions of getting fans off the street and bringing them in,” Cindy Ambuehl of Compass said in 2020. “When he first started to redo the home, he immediately changed the color of the front door to the original color in the opening credits of the show.”
But after receiving pushback from neighbors concerned about crowds, Franklin renovated the entire home to give it a modern feel, including adding a lower-level living space with a bedroom, bathroom, den and wet bar.
