Crews Extinguish 2nd-Alarm Blaze In SF, 7 Displaced: Fire Officials

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Seven people were displaced following a second-alarm fire in San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
The fire broke out around 1:13 p.m. in the 400 block of Laguna Street, according to the San Francisco Fire Department. It's unclear where the fire originally started or what caused it, but authorities said it impacted two buildings — a four-story mixed-use structure and a three-story residential.
Nobody was injured in the fire, but seven people and one dog were displaced, the San Francisco Fire Department said. Crews have since contained the blaze after working "aggressively" at the scene, authorities said.

The Red Cross has been requested to help those who were displaced by the fire, authorities said.
Oak Street at Buchanan Street remains closed as of 2:52 p.m. while crews investigate the cause of the fire. Traffic delays are expected in the area, authorities said, although it's unclear how long those delays are expected to last.
