Donations Needed For San Francisco Girl Diagnosed With Leukemia
At just 4 years old, Alayne Fedewa was diagnosed with the blood cancer.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- At just 4 years old, Alayne Fedewa of San Francisco is fighting for her life. Alayne, who was recently diagnosed with leukemia, is currently undergoing chemotherapy to help fight the cancer, according to a GoFundMe page created for her and her family.
Now loved ones are asking the public to help raise $35,000 so that Alayne can be home-schooled while she battles the disease.
"The chemotherapy treatment she needs to survive this illness will weaken her immune system making it impossible to safely attend school with the other kids in her class," the GoFundMe page said. "In order to continue to foster her love for learning and allow her parents to return to work (maintaining the income and insurance coverage necessary to provide her treatment), she will need to be homeschooled for the next 6-8 months."

Roughly $25,000 will be used to pay for a home school service, while the rest of the donations will go toward her medical bills, the GoFundMe page said.
"We are aiming to help ease some of this financial burden with this gofundme campaign for Alayne," the page said. "For those who don’t know Alayne, she is a super-smart-almost-5-year-old that is adored by her classmates. She loves to make people laugh with her playful sense of humor and good hearted nature."
