SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But first, did you feel it?

A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck early this morning off the coast of Northern California, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The quake was reported at 1:55 a.m., centered over 53 miles east northeast of Eureka.

It was a rainy weekend this week across the Bay Area and California, with temperatures in the 50s and up to an inch of rain in some locations. It is just the latest episode of another wet and windy spring, which is why President Biden approved a disaster declaration to bring millions of aid to help California counties affected by the storms, including Monterey and Santa Cruz counties.

The cold, choppy weather was hardly ideal for boating, leading to two capsized boats: one off Ocean Beach in San Francisco and another near Tomales Bay in Marin. A total of 11 people were rescued in both incidents.

In Napa, two women were found with gunshot wounds, and both eventually died of their injuries.
