Footless Pigeon Found With Spatula Glued To Stump
"I'm guessing whoever did that legitimately thought that they were helping," a Twitter user said.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- A pigeon was found in San Francisco this week with a spatula glued to the bottom of her leg. The photo of the poor pigeon went viral after Officer Edith from the San Francisco Animal Care and Control agency tweeted a photo of the bird.
"Someone caught a footless pigeon, glued a tiny spatula on to her stump and let her go again," Officer Edith wrote.
It's unclear why anyone would glue a spatula onto the leg of the pigeon, but the bird was sent to rehabilitation, the animal control officer wrote.

Another person said, "Maybe someone was trying to help, and the other spatula fell off?"
The official Twitter account of the San Francisco Animal Care and Control agency decided to take the incident as a chance to teach the public: "Please folks, limit your spatula prosthetics to consenting humans."
The bird will recover at a Palomacy Pigeon Rescue location in the Bay Area, according Officer Edith.
