SAN FRANCISCO, CA – A community block party is a great way to unwind after a long work week, and San Francisco has locals covered with “Fridays on Front St.”

Happening Friday, July 18, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., the downtown event, which takes place on selected Fridays on Front Street, is an official San Francisco “Entertainment Zone,” meaning that attendees who are age 21+ can enjoy alcoholic beverages outside.

“My administration is committed to helping our small businesses succeed, and we will continue to support entertainment zone activations because we know they work,” said San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie. “These events boost our businesses, fuel our economic recovery, and bring joy and life back to our streets.”

Friday’s event will feature the San Francisco Giants game against the Toronto Blue Jays on an outdoor jumbo screen, along with live music from local artists, food pop-ups, and games such as beer pong for adults and a large tumble tower (i.e., Jenga) for all ages. There will also be art-themed components, including opportunities to sit for a caricature or a face painting.

The Front Street bars Harrington’s Bar & Grill, Schroeder’s and Royal Exchange will have food and drink specials and DJs spinning music in their spaces.

We’re proud to help shape this next chapter for the neighborhood and invite everyone to experience just how dynamic, welcoming, and uniquely San Francisco our downtown can be.”
