Golden Gate View Point Among Top Google Searches For Scenic Spots
Google released its 2022 search data, and it seems San Francisco maintained its top spot as a scenic tourist destination.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A view of the Golden Gate Bridge was among the most searched scenic spots on Google Maps in 2022, according to end of year data released by the search engine giant.
The Golden Gate View Point in Mill Valley was the second most searched scenic spot in the United States in 2022, according to Google Trends data.
The sign was one of three California spots to hit the top 10, including Glacier Point in Yosemite Valley and Beverly Hills Sign in Beverly Hills.

The term "Golden Gate View Point" proved most popular during the week of May 29, and was most often searched in tandem with the search terms "Golden Gate Park," "The Golden Gate Bridge" and "San Francisco."
In the greater San Francisco area, the top "near me" search of the year was "monkeypox vaccine," followed by "dentist," "gas prices," lighting stores" and "thai massage."

"Garlic confit" was San Francisco's top trending recipe, and it was one of only two cities in the United States that searched for "pop" music more than "country" music.
