SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Water was shut off at three San Francisco schools this week because of high lead levels.

Water at West Portal Elementary, Malcolm X Elementary and San Francisco International High School all tested for high lead levels, according to a SFGATE.com article.

The news site reported that the "water samples from at least one faucet or fountain at each site were too high — or above the recommended federal threshold of 15 parts per billion."
