NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect a seasonably cool start to the week on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
"Near or slightly below normal temperatures will continue this week along with continued dry weather," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Sunday. "Highs mainly 60s along the coast, 70s bayside and 80s well inland. Night and morning low clouds followed by afternoon and evening clearing near the coast. Next inland warming trend may occur by next weekend."

In other news, 6 people were displaced in a house fire; 5 puppies were rescued from a vegetation fire; a hiker was rescued after falling over a cliff; and a sinkhole opened on a state highway.
