Weekly Lane Closures Planned For Major Bay Area Bridge
The lane closures will occur weekly for months to accommodate road repair work. Commuters are advised to plan for delays.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The two center lanes on the Golden Gate Bridge will be closed for roadway repairs midday every Wednesday until November starting today, according to the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District.
From around 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Wednesday, the two center lanes will be shut down as crews perform maintenance on potholes and asphalt.
The bridge will remain open in both directions, but drivers should slow down around construction zones and expect delays during the lane closures.
