Man Attacked With Crowbar While Taking Out the Trash

San Francisco police said a man suffered head injuries when he was attacked Monday night in San Francisco's Sunset District.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA- A man suffered head injuries when he was attacked Monday night in San Francisco's Sunset District, police said.

The 52-year-old victim was taking out trash in the 1400 block of Seventh Avenue shortly after 8:30 p.m. when he was approached by two men in his 50s who he knew, police said. One of the suspects talked to him while the second suspect allegedly struck the victim repeatedly in the head with a weapon, possibly a crowbar, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a head injury but is expected to survive. The suspects, who police said were driving a smaller four-door blue sedan, had not been arrested as of this morning.
