Man Convicted Of San Francisco Armed Robberies
The victims were robbed at gunpoint, making the convicted man eligible for sentencing enhancements.
SAN FRANCISCO — A 40-year-old man was convicted in San Francisco of two armed robberies in 2022 with firearm enhancements, according to the District Attorney's Office.
Bruce Blanco was found guilty of second-degree robbery, attempted robbery, and charges related to possession of a firearm and ammunition. Those charges also could lead to sentencing enhancements for the robbery charges, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins' office said in a statement Monday.
Blanco was arrested in the Mission District on March 18, 2022, after he was reported to have robbed someone at gunpoint in their apartment, and later attempted to rob a seafood restaurant on 19th Street and Mission Street. He was taken into custody by San Francisco police officers outside the restaurant.

Blanco is scheduled in court on Nov. 20 to determine how sentencing enhancements should be applied because of his use of a firearm during the robberies.
