Man Found Shot To Death Inside Car In San Francisco: Police

The fatal shooting happened Tuesday morning in the 100 block of Turk Street, police said.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Police say they're investigating a shooting in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood that left a man dead Tuesday morning.

Details about what led up to the shooting were not immediately available. Officers responded around 6:12 a.m. to the 100 block of Turk Street after someone reported the shooting, the San Francisco Police Department said.

There, officers found a man sitting in a car who had been shot at least once, police said. Officers rendered aid to the man, including CPR, until paramedics arrived to take over the life-saving measures, police said.

Despite their efforts, the man died at the scene, police said. Police did not release the man's identity.

Police did not provide any information about a suspect. Homicide detectives also responded to the scene and are leading the investigation, police said.
