SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should know the forecast for Monday for the greater San Francisco Bay Area calls for mostly sunny skies with some cloud cover during the morning, before skies gradually clear, according to the National Weather Service.

"Quiet weather on tap for the upcoming week, with the return of coastal clouds and potential for overnight fog," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Sunday. "Temperatures gradually return to near seasonal averages, especially for inland areas."

In other news, multiple Bay Area leaders decried U.S. strikes on Iran. Local and state authorities were monitoring for potential fallout after the U.S. military bombed three nuclear sites in the Middle Eastern country.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom said state officials were on alert.

"Following the President's action in Iran, California's State Threat Assessment Center is actively monitoring for any potential impacts in California," Newsom said in a post on X. "While there are no specific or credible counter threats we are aware of at this time, we urge everyone to stay vigilant and report suspicious activity."

Also, crews rescued a man hanging from a cliff; six people were dead and two were missing after a boat capsized; a man was arrested for exposing himself on a bus; and an earthquake rattled parts of the San Francisco Bay Area.
