Mathew McConaughey Teases Presidential Run At CA Conference
The 52-year-old actor told attendees at a San Francisco tech conference that a presidential run may be "inevitable."

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Actor Mathew McConnahey says he may consider running for president, according to media reports.
The 52-year-old actor spoke to attendees at the Dreamforce tech conference in San Francisco this week and teased the possibility of a presidential run sometime in the future, SF Gate reported.
"Yeah I'll consider it in the future, I'd be arrogant not to, absolutely I would consider it," McConaughey said. "If I got into any form of politics I'd be remiss not to also go in as an artist and a storyteller; help put a narrative together. You're the CEO of a state and a nation, a lot of compartmentalization and choices to be made. They scare me but I'm not afraid of 'em."

McConaughey, whose hometown is Uvalde, Texas, was called to the White House earlier this year by President Joe Biden to discuss gun violence after the deadliest mass shooting at an elementary school campus in a decade.
He has also publicly weighed whether he will run for governor of Texas, the newspaper reported.

On running for the president he said "If that happened to me I would be pulled into it. If I'm living right, which I'm trying to, we get pulled into things ... it's inevitable. I didn't choose it, it chose me."
