Murder Suspect Arrested In Bay Area Triple Shooting
Police arrested a man in San Francisco suspected of shooting three people at a homeless encampment, killing two of them.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The U.S. Marshals Service on Wednesday arrested a man wanted for two homicides last month, police said.
Marshals arrested 45-year-old Eddie Charles Sample in San Francisco after serving a warrant on Cravath Street on Treasure Island. The Vallejo resident allegedly shot three men, two of whom died, at a Vallejo homeless encampment, according to Vallejo police.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on May 26, Vallejo police responded to a report of a shooting near Sacramento Street and Daniels Avenue.

Responding officers found three men suffering from at least one gunshot wound each.
Officers provided the victims with medical aid until medical personnel arrived and later pronounced two of the men dead at the scene. The third man was transported to a hospital to be treated for a life-threatening injury.

Officers arrested Sample on Wednesday without incident. He was booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of the two killings.
"The Vallejo Police Department will continue to direct every available resource toward holding violent offenders accountable and protecting our community," Vallejo Police Chief Jason Ta said in a statement. "I want to thank the U.S. Marshals Service and our officers for their coordinated efforts and swift action in safely apprehending the suspect responsible for this senseless act of violence."
