Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit By Car In San Francisco
A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood early Tuesday morning, police said.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood early Tuesday morning, according to police.
Officers responded around 5:15 a.m. to the collision reported in the area of 10th and Harrison streets. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital but has died, San Francisco police spokesperson Officer Robert Rueca said later Tuesday morning.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene, Rueca said.

A portion of 10th Street was blocked for hours during the investigation into the collision but emergency crews left the scene as of about 9:20 a.m.
