Pedestrian Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In San Francisco: Report

Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who killed a person at Mission Street and Santa Rosa Avenue early Wednesday.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian overnight Wednesday in San Francisco, and the driver fled the scene, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

Shortly after midnight, police officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Mission Street and Santa Rosa Avenue in the Excelsior neighborhood. Officers and paramedics were called to the scene to provide aid, but the victim died.

According to NBC News, the victim was walking and may have been in a nearby crosswalk when they were struck by a vehicle. Police do not have a description of the vehicle.
