San Francisco Bus Changes This Weekend

Buses will replace San Francisco Municipal Railway's M-Ocean View light-rail line.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Buses will replace San Francisco Municipal Railway's M-Ocean View light-rail line between the West Portal and Balboa Park stations for four weekends starting this weekend while crews make improvements at several areas along the line, Muni officials said.

The work started Friday morning and will continue until the start of regular train service Monday morning. Muni buses will run along the M-Ocean View line to accommodate the construction activity.

Some of the improvements include a new pedestrian island crossing at 19th Avenue and Junipero Serra Boulevard, vehicle safety measures at trackway entrances, and traffic signal upgrades, Muni officials said.
