San Francisco Drivers: Check Here To See If You're Owed Money

The city has $600,000 in unclaimed funds and some of that money may belong to you.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- San Francisco's transportation agency has nearly $600,000 in funds that belong to drivers.

The money pot is a result of drivers who overpaid or paid twice on their parking or transit citations, according to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.

The money was collected on citations issued between Jan. 1, 1995 and June 30, 2014.

You can check this list to see if the agency owes you money: www.sfmta.com.

Any money needs to be claimed by Dec. 14. If the money is not claimed, it will become the property of the city and county of San Francisco.
