This year’s Centerpiece selection is the Sundance favorite, “The Farewell,” Lulu Wang’s film that celebrates and gently satirizes Chinese cultural traditions, starring Awkwafina as a broke Asian-American artist who embarks on a trip to China to see her dying grandmother.
